Seeking asylum is a human right.

This Artseat puts a face to refugee families and highlights a shared goal of wanting a safe, stable place to bring up our families supported by the community around us.

Manima, Hadi, Shabarat, Ali and Mikal Sha have been seeking asylum along with their parents in Australia for 8 years. Four of them were born here. Their lives are filled with uncertainty. No governmental support, no permanency, no security. They have to fight every three months to stay in Australia. Their mother Rahima says their life is unstable and stressful. She struggles to stay positive but finds comfort in her kids going to school and being safe.
